Sheila Borkar is an engineer in Toole Design Group’s Silver Spring office. During her time as a student at the University of Virginia, her passion for creating sustainable and livable spaces developed into an interest in multimodal transportation. Sheila works with many design and analysis programs (AutoCAD, MicroStation, AGI-32, and Synchro) on a variety of transportation projects including on-street bike lanes, shared-use paths, and school zone improvements with Safe Routes to School. She has a thorough understanding of traffic analysis, drainage design and analysis, and lighting.

In her spare time, Sheila enjoys running, cooking, and writing.
