Ann DeSanctis is a planner working as part of the City of Austin’s Active Transportation Street Design Team. She has a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver and a broad background in sustainability that covers environmental education, urban food policy, and community engagement in historically underserved neighborhoods in both the US and abroad. Ann’s specialty is applying her Renaissance-woman approach to the inextricable link between land use and transportation.
When Ann is not biking around town for transportation (car-free for 30 years!), she is spinning her wheels on Austin’s superb mountain bike trails or as part of Austin’s bike polo club.
