Michele Scanze is a project planner in Toole Design’s Denver office. Michele works on projects that create healthy, inclusive communities and maps data to illustrate stories. Prior to joining Toole Design, Michele evaluated public, private and non-profit programs using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods. Through this work, she has gained a deep understanding of data analytics. She also worked for Arizona Department of Health Services, where she helped establish their health impact assessment program. While working for Arizona, she trained planning and transportation professionals on how to integrate health considerations into their work. Michele has a passion for authentic community engagement and pairing numbers with anecdotes to shape the communities so that they can lead healthy, happy lives.
Outside of work, Michele enjoys running, exploring Denver with her two dogs, and spending time with family.
