Pete Robie
Visualization Practice Lead
Pete Robie is an urban designer who specializes in the design and visualization of human-scaled streets, places, and urban fabric. As our Visualization Practice Lead, he has been instrumental in the graphic development of numerous street design guidelines including the award-winning Boston Complete Streets and MassDOT Separated Bike Lane Planning and Design Guide, as well as FHWA’s Achieving Multimodal Networks. His illustrative work combines technical precision with artistic vision, focused on clearly and accurately communicating the experience of spaces. Pete also has nearly a decade of experience planning low-stress bike and pedestrian networks in urban, suburban, and rural contexts from region to intersection; so, he understands the critical role that each detail plays in making the larger experience work for everyone.
In his free time Pete enjoys cooking with his family, gardening, and exploring cities by foot and bike.
