Rachel Brunner
Planner II
Rachel is a planner with a decade of experience developing and implementing regional public space projects, programs, and policies. Her time working in urban agriculture and program management informs her projects in bicycle and pedestrian planning and placemaking. As a skilled community organizer, Rachel uses a trauma-informed approach and collaborates with communities to create safe streets, equitable networks, and positive public spaces. She specializes in multimodal network connectivity, comprehensive plans, visual communications, strategic planning, feasibility studies, engagement, writing, and research.
Outside of the office, you can find Rachel working on her friend’s farm and exploring the North Carolina wilderness with her dog. She is always up for a celebration and loves creating things like pottery, knits, carpentry, and baked goods.
