Rachel is a transportation planner in Toole Design’s Denver office. Rachel draws from her background in land use planning to facilitate projects that improve safety and comfort for people walking and biking. She has been involved in regional active transportation plans, wayfinding plans, non-motorized count projects, and Vision Zero efforts. Rachel’s recent work includes mapping and research for DRCOG’s Regional Active Transportation Plan and route planning for the Colorado Springs Bicycle Wayfinding Plan. Prior to Toole Design, Rachel worked in land use planning and development in Los Angeles, where she performed project due diligence and championed adaptive reuse and historic redevelopment projects through community engagement efforts and planning entitlement reviews.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys bicycle touring, backpacking, skiing, and wandering in new cities.
