Ray is a senior planner in Toole Design’s Denver office. He leverages a wealth of public sector experiences in transportation, open space, public health, and sustainability planning to create communities that are better connected, healthier, and equitable for all transportation users. Ray specializes in multimodal planning, design, and construction; public engagement; and the health impacts of the built environment. He also brings expertise in park and trail planning, design, wayfinding, and construction. As an Open Space Planner for Arapahoe County, Ray managed all bicycle- and pedestrian- related planning and implementation projects, creating the first Explore Arapahoe bike map and safety sheet and representing the county on several multimodal technical committees.
Outside of work, Ray enjoys mountain biking, camping with his wife and dogs, and volunteering in the Denver community.
