Senior Planner

Gina is a senior planner with considerable experience in the areas of urban planning, active transportation, and livability. Over the course of her career, Gina has worked as an urban planner, bicycle planner, architectural historian, and community organizer. She has a wide range of experience developing plans and programs that change the conversation around daily bicycling and engages stakeholders to build consensus. Prior to joining Toole Design, Gina worked at the Washington Area Bicyclist Association as the Safe Routes to School policy director, a position she pursued after writing one of the first Safe Routes to School grants for her own children’s public school in Washington, DC.

Gina, her husband, and their three kids have a number of pets who love transportation almost as much as she does: there’s Metro the mutt, Decker the corgi, and NoMa the cat (RIP Taxi-Cat). In her spare time, Gina enjoys knitting, touring historic sites, and getting lost in cities.
