April is the American Society of Landscape Architects’ World Landscape Architecture Month! Over the next month, Toole Design Group will celebrate the people and projects that make our landscape architecture and urban design practice a vital part of active transportation projects.

Projects like the Alger Park Low Impact Development help the District Department of Transportation to plan, design, and construct low-impact design elements, planting layouts, permeable pavement, and project management guidelines that incorporate best management practices. The result will be a more beautiful neighborhood, less runoff, and a more sustainable community
Our landscape architecture practice combines their planning and design skills and training into our streetscape projects to create an equal experience for all users. The Capital City Bikeway and Jackson Street reconstruction in Saint Paul, MN was a ground-up reconstruction of a downtown street, converting it into a multi-modal experience that balances the needs and experiences of multiple users. Placemaking using elements like creative signage, porous pavement, plantings, and furniture placement all contribute to the design of multi-use transportation facilities. Our team ensures that these projects serve all users with functional, enjoyable, and sustainable infrastructure.
