Lindsay Welsch Sveen, PhD

As Communications Manager, Lindsay helps tell the Toole Design story. From social media and newsletters to project-specific materials, she brings her experience as a storyteller and strategist to all Toole Design communications. She earned her BA in English from New York University and her MA and PhD in English from Indiana University, where she became a writer-editor and then creative director for undergraduate marketing and communications. Her background as a scholar and instructor honed her eye for detail and trained her to turn complex ideas into simple words and images. (And her background as a bike commuter in New York City made her a champion of Complete Streets long before she heard that term.)

She can be found exploring Madison with her family by foot, bike, bus, or sometimes moped. Or sitting on the couch with her knitting.
