Choosing between our important Vision Zero work in cities like Denver, Seattle, Portland, and Boston is a bit like choosing your favorite child. While we love them all, what we really like about our current work in Boston is that amazing feeling you get when plans turn into action; when concepts crystallize into projects that are embraced and improved upon by the affected communities we seek to serve.
The project specific updates you can see at the City of Boston’s Vision Zero site range from speed radar sign installations to parking protected bike facility demonstrations and significant pedestrian safety improvements in and around Codman Square, one of two focus areas in the original Vision Zero plan for the City adopted late last year.
These aren’t just ideas, and Vision Zero isn’t just a nice concept. These are life-saving solutions built around a framework for action that is inclusive and has accountability built in from the word go. As a result, we have the privilege of seeing our work contribute to positive changes on the ground.
