Project Summary
The I-90 trail provides a critical connection between Seattle and Bellevue. Toole Design evaluated the section of trail on Mercer Island, focusing on changes to improve safety and provide the highest quality user experience. We provided design recommendations for bicycle and pedestrian interactions at two specific locations, and we gave the City of Mercer Island detailed recommendations for applying best practices in the use of bollards and other trail design features.
