For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of leading a company built on the belief that transportation should serve everyone, with a special focus on vulnerable road users. Our mission has always been about creating stronger, safer, and more connected communities for people of all ages and abilities.
In those communities, and in our workplaces, we know how important it is to create spaces where everyone is included, valued, and heard. This is as true today as it was when I started the company. We work hard to be a place where people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives can come together to deliver exceptional projects. Embracing diversity fuels creativity and innovation, enriching every planning study and design project we take on. We are better able to reflect the wide variety of communities in which we are privileged to be able to work.
And it’s not only the right thing to do — it’s good for business and for our clients. Being a diverse and inclusive company has not only made us a stronger company but a more financially successful one. And we are not alone. A study by Deloitte found that companies with an inclusive culture are twice as likely to meet or exceed their financial targets.
We have seen promising steps forward across this industry in the past 20 years, and we are committed to doing all we can to continue this progress in the years ahead.
