Your paid internship at Toole Design will be filled with opportunity. You’ll work on a diverse range of projects and build your knowledge about the field of multimodal transportation and your expertise across a wide range of skills from computer design programs to public speaking.

We want you here for real, meaningful work, and we’ll prove it. Toole Design summer interns spend 8 to 12 weeks working alongside our staff of landscape architects, planners, and engineers in offices across the country. A typical day might have you analyzing survey data for a pedestrian master plan, preparing materials for a public meeting, or helping to develop graphics to communicate a new intersection design. Check out our 2023 interns’ favorite projects and takeaways.

There’s no better teacher than first-hand experience, and you’ll be integrated into project teams from day one. We’ll also help with critical workplace skills like identifying the best food trucks for lunch. You’ll get to do this at one of our transit-adjacent, bikeable, walkable offices. All Toole Design internships are paid positions.
