Dan Goodman, AICP, LEED AP is Toole Design’s Mid-Atlantic Planning Director. A skilled project manager and planner well-versed in multimodal data collection and analysis, Dan’s performance-based planning approach has helped him deliver game-changing plans in public and private sector roles at the local, regional, and national level.
Prior to joining Toole in this leadership role, Dan led the Federal Highways Administration (FHWA)’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Program. His work on national bicycle and pedestrian policy, planning, design guidance, and resources for practitioners helped transform multimodal transportation in communities across the country. For his work, he was recognized as the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) Public Sector Professional of the Year in 2016. Dan was also a Senior Planner at Toole Design from 2007 to 2013.
Outside of the office, Dan enjoys hanging out with his three kids, and is learning to play the piano.
