Dan Hemme, MPA

Dan is the Planning Manager in Toole Design’s Raleigh office. His background spans transportation planning, micromobility operations, and law, all fueled by the belief in the power of active transportation to create more equitable places that improve dignity, opportunity, and joy for all members of the community. Dan specializes in bike and pedestrian planning, micromobility planning, data analyses, and public engagement. A skilled Project Manager, Dan has led and/or supported active transportation plans, corridor studies, local and regional mobility plans, and micromobility plans for a range of clients across the United States, including municipalities, regional planning organizations, and state agencies.

Dan spends as much of his weekends as he can outdoors, hiking, biking, or fly fishing with his wife, two dogs, and daughter.
