Douglas Halpert, PE, PTOE

Douglas is a licensed Professional Engineer with more than 11 years of experience encompassing roadway and roundabout design, bicycle, pedestrian, and green streets projects, project management and permitting, traffic analysis, signal design, traffic mitigation, and construction management. Douglas has a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University and is a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer Accredited Professional (PTOE). Douglas serves multiple leadership roles within the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) including as a committee member of the Chesapeake and Potomac Section and the Sustainability Standing Committee of ITE.

When not in the office, Douglas playing broomball, biking, playing his drums, and stand-up comedy. Since moving to Maryland, Douglas has also volunteered fixing bikes for Free Bikes 4 Kids.
