Harriette Shakeri, EIT
Engineer III
Harriette is a civil designer in Toole Design’s Denver office. She specializes in multimodal transportation and pedestrian safety projects, with experience taking designs from early concept through construction-ready plan sets. Harriette brings a unique perspective to her work thanks to her background in construction, where she gained first-hand experience reviewing plans in the field, drafting RFIs and change orders, and working alongside union foremen. This practical foundation strengthens her approach to drafting and quality control, ensuring that her designs are not only accurate and buildable, but also responsive to both client goals and community needs. Passionate about creating people-first streets and public spaces, Harriette enjoys collaborating with communities to design networks that prioritize safety, equity, and accessibility for all users.
Outside of the office, Harriette is an avid disc golfer, competing in local tournaments and serving on the board of her local disc golf club. She loves playing mountain courses with her partner and their dog, Lucy—who also makes occasional visits to the Denver office, where she is a beloved presence. Harriette also enjoys baking cakes and sweets to share with colleagues, discovering new coffee shops around Denver, and contributing locally as a member of WTS Colorado.
