Katy Sawyer is a licensed civil engineer with a background in transportation engineering and program and project management. She specializes in the design and construction of bicycle and pedestrian facilities and traffic calming devices. As a former municipal engineer, Katy has insight into the planning, design, maintenance, and operations of city transportation systems. She has developed and implemented Vision Zero and traffic calming programs, and has experience in community outreach and working with stakeholders including elected officials.
When she isn’t improving the right-of-way, Katy may be founding backpacking Appalachia with her family.
