Melany Alliston, PE
Civil Engineering Practice Director, North America
Melany is a project manager and civil engineer with more than three decades of experience in civil infrastructure projects, primarily in the northeastern United States. Her technical strengths include the areas of transportation, stormwater management, site drainage, grading and erosion control, surveying, road design, and utilities. In recent years, she has been involved in a number of major transportation programs in the Washington, DC region, including the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail Kenilworth Section under the District of Columbia’s Anacostia Waterfront Initiative (AWI), and Phase 1 for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail project under the Virginia Department for Transportation’s (VDOT) Virginia Megaprojects Program. She also served as a member of Toole Design’s board of directors from 2016 to 2018.
Melany is active in Women’s Transportation Seminar’s mentoring program, and she participates in several others aimed at Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education for elementary through college age girls.
In her spare time, she enjoys needlework and spending time with friends and family.
