Romani Lalani, EIT

Engineer II

Romani is an engineer working on-site with the City of Austin’s Transportation department. She specializes in street design for pedestrians and cyclists, with a particular focus on Safe Routes to School, pedestrian crossings, and neighborhoods of scale. Originally from Canada, Romani brings internship experience in the management of their public infrastructure, structural assessments of pedestrian structures, and bid-preparation. Romani is also passionate about engineering education and has worked extensively on improving the first year experience of incoming engineering students at the University of Alberta where she completed her Bachelors.

Outside of work, Romani enjoys yoga, hiking, biking, and playing board games (preferably word games)!
