Tammy Sufi, AICP

Tammy has nearly two decades of experience working on a range of multimodal transportation projects, including bicycle and pedestrian plans, Complete Streets design guidelines, transit access and trail feasibility studies, and traffic calming plans. Her extensive project management experience includes overseeing the revision of the Prince George’s County, MD Urban Streets Design Standards, managing the Arlington County, VA Master Transportation Plan update, and developing Bicycle Master Plans for Seattle and the District of Columbia. She is also well-versed in Safe Routes to School (SRTS) planning, having assisted two Departments of Transportation in statewide program development.

Prior to joining Toole Design , Tammy worked at a private consulting firm in New York City, the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG), and the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy in Washington, DC. An excellent project manager, Tammy is known for helping clients combine the community’s vision with innovative and realistic solutions to planning and design issues.

In her free time, Tammy enjoys reading, traveling, and taking bike rides with her kids.
