Heading to San Francisco this weekend for the APA’s National Planning Conference? We’ll see you there. A number of our team members will be in the Bay Area networking, learning, and presenting at the year’s largest gathering of planners.
Toole Design staffers are leading two sessions on equity and ethics during the conference:
- Tamika Butler, Esq. will facilitate a panel discussion on tangible, results-based strategies that can be incorporated into planning work to address equity and inclusion. She and Anikwenze Ogbue, P.E. will deliver insights from the field, and help paint a broader picture about the real and perceived connections between bicycle planning, Vision Zero, inequality, exclusion, and gentrification in communities across the country.
- “Addressing Inequities in Transportation Planning” – Sunday, April 14, 4:15pm-5:45pm, Room 2008
- Ernie Boughman, AICP will help lead a collaborative session on professional ethics, focusing on the “Principles to Which We Aspire” portion of the AICP Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct with a fun (yes, fun!) and engaging session that will challenge and inspire you.
- “The Fun Ethics Session” – Sunday, April 14, 4:15pm-5:45pm, Room 2014
In addition to our presenters, you can find Seattle office director Amalia Leighton Cody P.E., AICP, as well as members of our Oakland staff at the conference.
