Project Summary
Toole Design helped transform the often-overlooked Northside Gateway park into an inviting space on the up-and-coming Northside of Spartanburg, SC. From concept design to construction, we focused on creating a sense of place that is attractive and comfortable. The fully-restored, historic Cleveland Fountain, was relocated to anchor a highly visible community space; a central trail through the park was carefully positioned to guides users to an improved street crossing, and the overall project turned a neglected urban space into a highly visible example of ongoing efforts to beautify the city.
