Toole Design’s Urban Design Group Celebrates First Anniversary

As bike- and pedestrian-specific projects become increasingly integral to broader roadway, transportation and urban design projects, the Toole Design Group team grows and expands. So much so that just over a year ago, a cross-office and multi-disciplinary team of planners, landscape architects and engineers connected to share expertise and collaborate around urban design issues.

Led by Cindy Zerger AICP, ASLA (Minneapolis) and Ken Ray, RLA (Silver Spring), the group believes that “great street networks and designs are foundational for healthy, vibrant communities.” Toole Design’s Urban Design Group brings a variety of skillsets to the table where other urban designers fall short – we know how to weave together all of the disciplines to create great streets and places. We also understand how streets, paths, trails, buildings, and open spaces relate to the human experience of places, economic success, social fabric, and quality of life within built environments. Toole Design has the ability to assess current conditions and help communities envision the potential of their community and then prepare plans that transform visions into reality.
