Jarred Johnson

Jarred brings over a decade of experience in transportation advocacy, urban policy, and community development. Prior to joining Toole Design, he served as Executive Director of TransitMatters, where he grew the organization into a nationally recognized nonprofit, expanded its policy influence, and led initiatives that shaped Boston’s transit landscape. His work has focused on integrating equitable transportation solutions with housing and land use policies to create vibrant, accessible communities. With a background in nonprofit leadership, real estate development, and strategic planning, Jarred brings a holistic approach to sustainable mobility and public engagement.
Outside of work, Jarred enjoys traveling, riding roller coasters around the world, exploring new restaurants, and visiting museums.
