Katy Sawyer, PE
Principal Engineer
Katy Sawyer is a licensed civil engineer with a background in transportation engineering and program and project management. She specializes in the design and construction of active transportation and traffic safety improvement projects. As a former municipal engineer, Katy has insight into the planning, design, maintenance, and operations of city transportation systems. She has developed and implemented Vision Zero and traffic calming programs, and has experience in community outreach and working with stakeholders including elected officials. Katy is an associate member of the National Committee of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, where she helps to advance the adoption of complete streets principles in the transportation profession.
When she isn’t improving the right of way, Katy may be found backpacking Appalachia with her family.
