Sophia Cotman, EIT

Sophia is an engineer in Toole Design’s Boston office. She graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in Civil Engineering and minor in urban studies. During her studies, Sophia participated in a study-abroad program in the Netherlands where she developed a passion for people-centered, multimodal transportation infrastructure. As a former Toole Design intern, Sophia is excited to continue contributing to projects that advance safe, sustainable, and accessible transportation. Her experience includes multimodal corridor and intersection design, road safety analyses, and community engagement, all of which have helped strengthen her commitment to creating transportation systems that better serve communities.

Outside of work, Sophia enjoys spending time outside (whether it be hiking, biking, or swimming), traveling internationally, and trying new restaurants around Boston.
