Alberta Bikeway Design Guide
Alberta
Project Summary
Good design knows no borders, so when the Province of Alberta sought to update its bikeway design guidance, they asked Toole Design for help. The Alberta Bikeway Design Guide provides unified guidance to elevate the quality of bikeway design and provide design consistency throughout the Province. It is built upon international best practices, including Toole Design’s work on the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Bike Guide. We used our expertise in bikeway design to provide targeted peer review of the Alberta Bikeway Design Guide to ensure it reflects international best practices. The Guide is currently in development.
