Project Summary
Dane County, WI is one of the premier bicycle tourism destination in Wisconsin. When the County wanted to ensure a cohesive bicycling experience throughout its various communities, they asked Toole Design to develop a coordinated approach to bicycle wayfinding. Our staff worked with a variety of stakeholders to determine the best process for selecting destinations and we developed six individual signing plans for implementation. Wayfinding signs have now been installed along eight separate routes in Dane County, and the manual was recognized by the Wisconsin chapter of the American Planning Association as a 2017 Project of the Year.
