SCAG Measuring VMT Reduction from Shared Mobility Services

Project Summary
Toole Design is working with SCAG and LADOT to evaluate BlueLA, a non-profit carshare program focused on providing better access to zero-emission vehicles for low-income and historically disadvantaged populations. By improving and expanding options for electric vehicles and charging stations, this program enhances climate resilience and climate equity. We are developing a performance dashboard to evaluate the program and determine its transferability to the rest of the region. We are also researching strategies to include BlueLA as a TDM measure for new development and exploring the program’s VMT impacts.
