Solano Avenue Complete Streets and Corridor Revitalization Plan

Project Summary
Solano Avenue serves as Albany, CA’s main street, stretching through the heart of the community. Toole Design is developing a streetscape and mobility plan that ensures residents and visitors can enjoy Solano Avenue whether they arrive by foot, by bike, in a wheelchair, on public transit, or in a car. We are taking a holistic approach, addressing urban design as well as infrastructure and economic development. The plan’s recommendations focus on safety for pedestrians and bicyclists, improvements to the public realm, and connections to transit, all with the goal of making downtown Albany accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages and abilities.
