Town of Acton ADA Prioritization Plan

Project Summary
When the Town of Acton decided to double down on efforts to improve accessibility in their community, they asked Toole Design for help. Using GIS and mobile reporting software, we created an inventory of curb ramps within Acton’s public right-of-way, analyzing the map against demographic information, pedestrian use and roadway infrastructure. We combined this data to prioritize the 100 most-used ramps in town and assessed each for ADA compliance. We presented these strategic recommendations as part of the Acton’s ADA Transition plan and look forward to a more accessible Acton.
