Project Summary

Bentonville is well-known for its recreational bicycle tourism, with world-class mountain biking trails/parks and the Razorback Regional Greenway. The City’s goal is for its bicycle travel for short trip purposes to become as popular as its recreational bicycling.

We are providing final design services for four critical bicycle and pedestrian corridors to make this goal a reality. The final design plans and construction bid packages build on our previous efforts in the area. The designs incorporate a variety of bicycle facility types as well as traffic calming and safety measures.

Once implemented, these designs will introduce the first on-street bicycle facilities in Bentonville, connect nearly eight miles of corridor, and serve as a gateway between Downtown Bentonville and Walmart’s new home office campus.

The redesign for SE 8th Street includes separated bike lanes and a protected, signalized intersection at G Street.
