The Conference brings together more than 900 officials, planners, and practitioners to advance the state of transportation in cities, and build places for people with safe, sustainable, accessible, and equitable choices.

Jennifer Toole, AICP, ASLA is the founder and President of Toole Design. She has more than 30 years of experience working with NACTO member cities on Complete Streets, Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning, Vision Zero, and related transportation projects. Jennifer has been involved in numerous projects of national significance for the Federal Highway Administration, AASHTO, and NHTSA, and was awarded the 2008 Professional of the Year award by the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals. She has a strong background in urban design and a keen understanding of how to design streets that work for all users.
Tamika L. Butler, Esq. is Toole Design’s California Planning Director and heads up the company’s Equity and Inclusion efforts. She has a diverse background in law, community planning and engagement and uses her experience to help communities and organizations address inequality, diversity, and injustice through transportation projects. Tamika leads our external efforts to integrate equity into our project work and our internal efforts to become a more diverse, inclusive workplace that employs people of all backgrounds.
Tamika has written and spoken extensively on the intersections of transportation, public health, and equity, and will be doing so again in Toronto at the TD Future Cities Speaker Series on Wednesday, September 11.
Raj Mohabeer, RPP, OALA, MCIP, CSLA, LEED® AP is Toole Design’s Toronto Office Director and Eastern Canada Market Lead. A registered professional planner and landscape architect, he brings more than 20 years of experience in developing and implementing transportation solutions that provide communities with safer multimodal choices. From research and policy through detail design and construction, Raj works with stakeholders to develop context-appropriate outcomes that help realize their visions for a successful future. He has been a major contributor to community-building transportation projects across Canada and the United States.
Tyler Golly, P. Eng., is the Edmonton Office Director and Western Canada Market Lead for Toole Design. Tyler is a licensed Professional Engineer and has delivered multimodal streets and plans that have improved safety and accessibility for people of all ages and abilities. With experience in both the public and private sectors, Tyler approaches urban transportation problems from an integrated perspective and creates solutions through collaborative decision-making and thorough community engagement.
Fred S. Lippert, PLA directs Toole Design’s Baltimore office. He has more than a decade of diverse experience in urban design, landscape architecture, and transportation site design projects. Fred is passionate about rethinking existing transportation systems and their influence on how we inhabit cities, towns and rural areas. He believes strongly in designing for equity and inclusion with the aim to empower communities by enabling the fundamental experience of human-powered transport.
