MnDOT Safe Routes To School

Project Summary
Minnesota’s Department of Transportation (MnDOT) selected Toole Design to help them craft strategies to make walking and biking to school possible for children of all ages. Drawing on our experience with Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programs across the country, we developed a strategic plan that prioritizes implementation, giving agencies, organizations, parents, teachers, students, and communities the tools they need to make school travel safe and comfortable for every child. Our work with MnDOT continues as we support their web-based resource center to give stakeholders the information they need to implement SRTS initiatives locally.
