Looking Ahead to ITE 2025 in Orlando

We are excited to sponsor and participate in the 2025 Joint ITE International Meeting and Exhibition being held August 10–13 in Orlando, FL. Hosted by the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), this conference brings together transportation professionals from a variety of disciplines and locations around the world to share innovative tools, technologies, and best practices. This year’s theme is “innovative pathways to safer transportation,” and Toole Design staff are excited to share the latest resources and tools we’ve developed to support the planning and design of more accessible, connected active transportation networks.

Toole Design will lead two half-day workshops as part of ITE’s packed and informative program. You’ll also have the chance to connect with our team throughout the conference, including Director of Design Bill Schultheiss, Director of Engineering Operations Michelle Danila, and Transportation Data Scientists Theja Putta and Tariq Shihadah. Get session details below, and reach out to connect with us at ITE 2025!

In this workshop, Theja Putta and Tariq Shihadah will highlight the latest updates to the Safer Streets Priority Finder (SSPF) we developed with the City of New Orleans.

Participants will learn how to use this free, open-source tool to develop a High Injury Network (HIN) and gain insights into other essential safety tools, data, and resources. The session will combine technical presentations, hands-on exercises, and peer discussions on how to advance road safety analyses.

Join Michelle Danila during this poster session as she co-presents the findings of our recently completed research, NCHRP 17-97: Strategies to Improve Pedestrian Safety at Night. Alongside our partners, Michelle will highlight Safe System strategies that can help communities create safer conditions for people walking after dark.

Please reach out to schedule a time to meet with a Toole Design presenter or a member of our Orlando team during the ITE Annual Meeting. We love hearing what our colleagues are working on and what communities are seeking, and we look forward to this opportunity to explore ways to enhance safety for all road users.
